Kindle Download Instructions
First: “I downloaded it—where is it?”
-
iPhone/iPad: Open the Files app → Browse → look in On My iPhone/iPad > Downloads or iCloud Drive > Downloads. Tap the file to preview, then tap Share → Open in [your reading app] (Books, Kindle, Kobo, etc.).
-
Android: Open the Files (or My Files) app → Downloads. Tap the file, then Open with… and pick your reading app.
If your phone says it can’t open the file, you likely need to open it from inside the reading app (steps below) or “send” it into the app using that app’s import feature.
Kindle (iPhone/iPad & Android)
Best method: Use Send to Kindle (built into the Kindle app share sheet and Amazon’s service).
-
Install the Kindle app and sign in.
-
Find your .epub (or .pdf) in Files/Downloads.
-
Tap Share → Kindle / Send to Kindle. The file is delivered to your Kindle Library and appears in the app after a moment. Amazon+1
Notes
-
Kindle now accepts EPUB via Send to Kindle; Amazon converts it automatically. If you just “tap to open” an EPUB in Kindle without sending, it may not work—use Share → Kindle.
